WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

The Missions Team aims to reach those in the nearby community as well as those around the world. This team plans events throughout the year to give financial aid to those who are called to go on mission trips. Our Missions Team encourages you to be a part of reaching others by going out or providing prayer and support for those who do. We provide opportunities throughout the year for students and others to give towards missions. LAUNCH has one annual mission trip to Panama City Beach called Beach Reach. The information about this trip, including the application, will be sent via email in the fall. Send Me is an alternate program site that provides many opportunities for those looking for a mission trip opportunity. 
LAUNCH has gone to Panama City Beach, Florida as part of the Beach Reach ministry since 2003. Below is a brief description of the activities and services preformed while serving during spring break each year:

- Providing free nightly van rides
- Offering free pancake breakfast for students

Panama City Beach is hailed as the “Spring Break Capitol of the World,” and it is a constant party during that time of the year. The van rides keep them safe, and the breakfasts keep them full. The true purpose of the trip is for LAUNCH students to share their beliefs and faith journey. “Beach Reachers” share tables with “spring breakers” at breakfast, accompany them on van rides, and hit the streets each night in order to have engaging, life-changing conversations with ”spring breakers”.

Each year our group sees many people accepting Christ with LAUNCH students answering questions and prayerfully showing them the way. Beach Reach is a ministry that works with over 600 college students from across the US called “Beach Reachers.” This trip is a great way to experience a life of mission. Students learn how to share their faith in normal conversation. It is amazing to see what God does not only in the lives of those who we minister to, but also those who go on this trip.
